Uncompromising reception furniture for Mississippi House and Missouri Park
One of the chapters of the improvement of the Riverside Karlín campus on Rohanské nábřeží was our realization of furniture for the reception areas of the last two completed office buildings Mississippi House and Missouri Park. What made the project unique for us and how does it correspond to the overall idea of the space?
As the first in the Czech Republic
The entire Riverside Karlín campus is a great example of great attention to quality and detail. The Mississippi House and Missouri Park office buildings were the first in the Czech Republic to receive the prestigious WELL PLATINUM v2 certification. Both certifications confirm the high standard of sustainability and quality of the indoor environment that goes hand in hand with the interior design and approach to furniture.
The project itself was designed by external architects in London. The client wanted to maintain the 'mood' and unmistakable characteristics of the visual design, however, all the details had to be carefully specified in the CAPEX. The client had the highest demands on the final quality, and it was necessary to maintain the way the furniture was manufactured and to use natural wood. All this while maintaining exemplary seating comfort.
Invisible barrier
One of the very interesting challenges of the whole project was the fact that the client had the reception area paved with standard outdoor paving, which is commonly used for pavements. The result is zero surface height tolerance.
Therefore, for each piece of furniture, a rough floor and height alignment of the individual elements had to be considered with their subsequent stabilization.
The composition of the delivered furniture is very varied, however, one cannot but mention atypical design tables, attractive chests of drawers combining wood with metal or original lockers. The delivery of large potted trees was also an interesting and separate chapter.
The type furniture delivered is certified not only in terms of quality, but also according to LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) sustainability standards. The wooden elements are then PEFC certified, so the wood comes from sustainably managed forests.
For human health and well-being
The announced WELL certification differs from other certifications in that it focuses on the impact of the indoor environment on human health and well-being. We are delighted that the furniture we have supplied supports these aims, as is the case with all our current projects. Support employee wellbeing with us.
